Best adventure: Last August, I flew to northern California to clear my mind before entering the program. After driving around hairpin turns through the mountains, I was able to hike through the redwood forests. Seeing something of such great magnitude was a really sobering experiencing.
You should know: In my spare time, I spend quite a bit of time at my art desk. I enjoy painting and drawing and have found that it’s a great way to relax after class. I was a docent at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, so I still enjoy learning about the sciences by watching documentaries and reading. In Chicago, I learned to speak Spanish and Polish and am currently practicing German.
