S3 Association

Spartan Spouses & Significant Others (S3) provides social activities, support, and peer networking opportunities for MSU MBA students and their families. Aiming to make the transition smoother and more enjoyable for couples and Student Families starting/going through an MBA program, S3 is a great way to meet new friends and form a support network.

The 2017-2018 activities list is pending; however, past S3 activities included:

  • Welcome Banquet
  • Orientation Picnic
  • International Potluck Supper
  • Book Group, Ladies Night, Running Group, Crafting Club
  • Lansing Lugnuts Baseball game(s)
  • Wine Tasting
  • Children’s Halloween and Valentines Parties
  • and many more!

For all of you weekend warriors, S3 joins the MBA Association (MBAA) at all of the home football game tailgates during the fall semester as well as other combined events throughout the rest of the year. We urge you to join our Facebook site Michigan State MBA S3 to find stay up-to-date on activities, join groups, suggest events, meet the current directors, and ask questions.

2018-2019 S3 Directors
Kim Beers, Staff Advisor
Ryan & Ashlee Meadows, Directors
Sonal & Kushal Srivastava, Co-Directors

We welcome new ideas and help in coordinating events, so if you have an idea or would like to help out, please don’t hesitate to contact the S3 Directors or Co-Directors via our Facebook page at Michigan State MBA S3. We are looking forward to an exciting year!

The goals of the S3 Association are to:

  • Offer the members of S3 social events that represent multiple interests.
  • Positively represent the MBA Broad Program and the greater Lansing community through diverse social activities.
  • Foster camaraderie and communication within S3 and between S3 and MBAA.
  • Provide incoming and current students, spouses, and children with an instant network of friends and activities.
  • Ensure that there is a place for everyone in S3 regardless of whether or not you have children or have moved here from another country.
